a voice to say... Lets Talk About Mental Health

Let me put some things in perspective on life coaching, counseling, and therapy...

Just because someone is going, doesn’t necessarily mean there is something wrong with them.

First: I’m tired of hearing “I don’t have anything wrong.” Truth is you might not even know what is being pushed aside because you haven't taken the time to self-examine.  Having something wrong is ok. It’s what makes us human.

Second: Why not go see someone because you are in a great place and you need a place to celebrate or strengthen your emotional health? People who are physically strong don’t just go to the gym until they reach their goal and stop. They know that maintenance is just as important as working towards the initial goal.

You win people over by listening and give them a safe place to express their wounds and success.

Third: I’m a huge advocate for people to have a mentor, coach, counselor, or therapist.  Not because I am one, but because I believe those in these roles truly make the world a better place because they listen. You win people over by listening and give them a safe place to express their wounds and success. It’s hard to come by something like that because everyone’s going through something. So it doesn’t hurt to invest in a necessity. Yep, that’s what it is! Just like we nourish our body with food. Just like we put gas in our vehicles. You maintain your car with regular oil changes to avoid larger issues later on. Why wouldn't you do the same for your mental health?

So I ask you are you ready to strengthen your mental health and stop judging those who are getting help? If you’re looking for a mentor be bold and ask someone you look up to. If you’re looking for a counselor or therapist, go “shop around“ and find the right one for you. If you’re looking for a life coach, lets talk and see if we are a good fit.
